All Picnic List cooking classes are hands-on and collaborative. Along with the other guests in attendance, you will be guided step by step in creating a flavorful, four to five course meal. After cooking, you get to take a seat and enjoy the meal you just created!
Classes typically begin at 6pm and last for two and a half to three hours, depending on the cuisine and the group size. If you are booking with a private group and would like to change the start time, please reach out and we can discuss what time works best for you!
Cooking classes are held in Chef Catalina's home in Sacramento, CA. You will have access to the address a few days before the class.
You will be provided with everything you'll need for the class, including aprons, knives, and cooking tools. Ice water will be provided, but feel free to bring anything else you'd like to drink!
Yes! After the class, the recipes will be emailed directly to you. All recipes are scaled down to two to four servings, per dish, to make them a little more accessible for home cooking.
Classes will range anywhere from three guests (minimum) to eight guests (maximum). If you are booking a private class, and have any questions about guest count, please reach out!
Please indicate any and all allergies or dietary restrictions BEFORE class so that the food may be prepped safely and responsibly. Every effort will be made to accommodate any allergies, however, due to the collaborative structure of the classes, if the dietary restrictions calls for a complete alteration of any dish, please reach out to discuss alternative options.
